For many years, Catholic Charities of St. Louis has been a leader within the Archdiocese of St. Louis in helping people recover after they have experienced the effects of a disaster on their daily lives. We do this through a process called Natural Disaster Case Management, where we help people address the disaster-related unmet needs that still exist as they work to recover.

In natural disaster case management we are able to address:

• Immediate needs and long-term needs
• Natural Disaster related Home Repair
• Addressing needs of lost furniture or home items
• Connecting to resources in the community
• Making referrals to address issues that were present before a disaster
• Family Needs

There are a few areas that we are unable to help:

• Repairs to homes with deferred maintenance issues
• First and last month’s rent
• Mortgage payments
• Utility assistance
